Atlanta, GA – The Georgia Council of Chiropractic (GCC) proudly recognizes the appointment of Dr. Edwin Cordero as the new Chief Executive Officer of the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), effective April 1, 2025. Dr. Cordero’s leadership, experience, and unwavering dedication to chiropractic make him the ideal choice to guide the ICA into a new era of growth and advocacy.
“We believe Dr. Cordero is the leader who can bring the most positive change to the ICA and the chiropractic profession as a whole,” said the GCC President, Dr. Daniel Tew.
With over 32 years of leadership experience, Dr. Cordero is well-positioned to lead the ICA’s mission of supporting chiropractic professionals and advancing the principles of chiropractic worldwide. His background in private practice, education, and organizational leadership demonstrates his commitment to innovation, advocacy, and professional development.
A United States Navy veteran and 1993 graduate of Life Chiropractic College, Dr. Cordero has had a distinguished career, including 20 years of private practice in Boynton Beach, Florida. He later served as President and CEO of Sherman College of Chiropractic, where his visionary leadership led to significant growth in enrollment, academic programs, and national recognition.
The Georgia Council of Chiropractic congratulates Dr. Cordero on this well-deserved appointment and looks forward to the positive impact his leadership will have on the ICA and the future of chiropractic worldwide.
The GCC was formed in 1982 through the vision of Dr Sid Williams to fill the need for an organization to promote, protect, and perpetuate principled, subluxation based chiropractic in the state of Georgia.
